The theme of the inaugural conference is, "Akwa Ibom State Across the World: Promoting Diaspora Values". Discussions will focus on “Expanding the ARISE agenda beyond the shores of Akwa Ibom State: Diaspora Contributions and Incentives”.

His Excellency, Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Bassey Eno, Ph.D. will be the Principal Guest of Honour at the conference. Other notables include the Chairman of the event, Rt. Hon. Unyime Idem (Member Representing Oruk Anam/Ukanafun Federal Constituency and Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Procurement), as well as Hon. Ime Uwa (Snr. Special Assistant to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State on Entrepreneurial Development) and Obong Ide Owodiong Idemeko (Chairman, Akwa Ibom State Investment Corporation (AKICORP). The conference will feature keynote and paper presentations, business discussions and partnerships, exhibitions, cultural and product displays, as well as networking and interactive sessions among dignitaries and delegates.
